Animatabler is a plugin that adds effects when opening/closing windows of Cocoa applications.
Check out this demo:
What you'll need to do:
Download and install SIMBL (Smart InputManager Bundle Loader) if you don't have it already.
Download Animatabler here, and copy it to this path: ~/Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins/
To configure this plugin, you'll need a .plist file in your OS X preference folder. You can download mine here. Just copy the file to this path afterwards: ~/Library/Preferences/zom.zumuya.Animatabler.plist
Settings will be reflected when you restart an application.
How to change the animation type:
1. open the plist file with a text editor or Pref Setter
~/Library/Preferences/zom.zumuya.Animatabler.plist
2. change the strings for keys, "ATAnimationNameWhenClosing" and "ATAnimationNameWhenOpening" to the animation name that you like.
Animation names:
* rotate
* smallzoom
* largezoom
* slidingzoom
* wrinkle
* roundedsmallzoom
* roundedlargezoom
* bend
* push
* random
