Geektool 3 has recently been released for OS X and I thought I'd try out something new with it. At least new for me, that is. While I've been using it to display handy logs and infos on my desktop, I never tried it with news, or other internet-based text. So, here we go. As an example I used a Twitter search for Virb. One can change this by customizing this line in the geektool command: http://search.twitter.com/search.atom?q=virb
Just download this Geektool file (which I exported) and double click it afterwards. You need to have Geektool installed though. Download it here.
